Residential Plan Speeds

To enabe ISP's to deliver broadband services at low cost, Residential connections have multiple customers connected to the same equipment. For this reason at any point in time the speed that each individual customer gets is dependent on what other customers are doing at the time. Therefore, the speed will be variable.

With BroadBand Now Residential plans:
  • Typically the average "Download" speed that a customer will get is 50% of the plan speed. At times this may drop as low a 1Mbps and peak at the full plan speed.

  • However, typically customers will get close to 100% of the plan upload speed at all times.
